Who Knew?

Just like I promised the recipe to these amazing treats. Made on a budget and is quick to boot! Who knew such a thing existed? These beautiful pastries that you could fill with just about anything.
All you need is 1 1/2 cups of flour, 1 stick or 1/2 cup of butter, pinch of salt, 5-6 tbsp of cold water; then refrigerate for a 1/2 hour. Refrigerating is very important and chilling the the filling as well. This is why making savory galettes can fair easier at times. I usually use Organic and GMO free products due to the pesticides and others ingredients I don't support.  Information on this is available per request. Also, recipes can be modified using coconut flour, almond flour and any others. Please let me know and I will be more than happy to help with any modifications.

Galette recipe

1 1/2c flour
pinch o salt
1/2c butter or 1 stick
5-6 tbsp water

Appliscous filling

1 c steam apples in chunks peeled
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp allspice
1/4tsp nutmeg
1 tbsp butter or coconut oil

Mix till butter is broken into little bits and dough is mostly blended by hand.  Put into fridge for 1/2 hour and add filling. Strain filling save for later. I will give you another recipe for this delicious rue to add to a cocktail later.  Roll out dough and add filling, then fold over and over. Or roll out square and fold edges to keep the filling from falling out!
